Shimano RS80 Wheels

The RS80 is a carbon/alloy rimmed road racing wheel for professional and amateur riders, with a light weight at 1783g. It uses standard brake pads for high braking performance on an alloy braking surface, but with a 50mm carbon rim to give a wheel that is versatile enough for both improved aerodynamic performance in TT races and rigid enough for sprinters.

High lateral rigidity is improved with a wide flange spacing. Low-friction seals effectively shut out water, mud and dirt without affecting rotational smoothness.
Polished bearing races reduce friction and provide for smooth rotation. Hub shell is cold forged and machined in aluminium with an oversized 7075 alloy axle. It is 8, 9, and 10-speed compatible.
