Fast Forward F9R Wheels
If pure speed is what you need then the full aero design of the Fast Forward F9R will go a long way towards fulfilling that performance requirement as it has a 90mm rim depth, giving the ability to slice through the air with minimal resistance.
As with the rest of the range the FFWD F9R is available with the standard, or with the 240S or 190 ceramic DT hubs, with the latter using DT Aerolite spokes, in a pattern of 20 for the front wheel and 24 for the rear, to give increased response and strength.
In addition, the latest technology is incorporated in the form of DARC profiling of the rims, designed to aid the Aero performance, which you can read about in more detail in our general FFWD section.
These wheels are already in use with the Quickstep ProTour team for time trials and stage races.

The standard wheel uses superstiff High Tensile TC35 Carbon in a 90mm - DARC profile, with the FFWD decals under clear coat.Spokes used are Sapim CX-Ray in 20/24H ratio, in aero blade (0.9*2.3mm) design,* lightweight and high fatigue-resistance and using DT Pro Lock Brass nipples.
Hubs are FFWD with sealed cartridge bearings and an Al7075 axle.
Weights are: 760g front, 935g rear and 1298g for the F9R wheelset.
The 240s hub model uses DT Aerolite spokes in 20/24H ratio, in an aero blade design (0.9*2.3mm) with DT Pro Lock Brass nipples. Total wheelset weight is 1680g.
The 190 hub version uses DT Swiss 190 ceramic hubs with ceramic cartridge bearings, custom star ratchets, redesigned hub shells.
Spokes are DT Aerolite with DT Pro Lock Brass nipples.
